
The Irish Computer Society is offering a fully funded Teacher Training (primary or secondary) course in the use of Scratch in the classroom.
Across two days it covers the fundamentals of Scratch including Planning, Designing and Implementing your own Scratch project and introducing Scratch to your students.
This 2-day course equips you to:
- Gain an knowledge of the Scratch programming language
- Develop Scratch project yourself
- Apply Scratch to your classroom
Course Objective:
The primary objective of this training programme is to equip teachers with the skills to be confident introducing Scratch into their classroom.
Who should undertake this training?
Primary or secondary school teachers who have not attended any previous Scratch training should attend.
Completing the Scratch Teacher Training will enable you to:
- Develop fun and interesting Scratch projects with your students
- Teach problem solving, mathematical and computational concepts in an engaging and inspiring way
- Give students hands on experience of software development
- Make use of the free software, teaching materials and downloadable student workbook!
Time: 09.30am – 15.30pm
